Next up on Sondela is Klement Bonelli’s 2023 reprise of the house classic, ‘Tropical Soundclash’. Just over 20 years on from DJ Gregory’s original smash on Faya Combo and Defected, Klement reminds us of the killer riff straight out of the jungle; one of the greatest earworms in the history of house music. When Klement first heard the original in a record shop, he bought three copies!

You’ll know Klement from his releases in the last 20+ years on the likes of Defected, Strictly Rhythm, and MoBlack. His Afro crossover hit ‘Scilla E Cariddi’ blew up to become one of the biggest tracks in Ibiza last summer, gaining support from multiple trailblazers across the scene.

Like the original, the 2023 ‘Tropical Soundclash’ is a peak-time banger, but a touch more dirty and synthy this time around. In Klement’s words: “I like the long intro of the track. The drums are powerful and we know something’s gonna happen. Then when the melody arrives in the first break everybody is so surprised!”
