Suffocate SA makes his Sondela debut with ‘Rising Strong,’ a powerful three-track instrumental EP that evokes the sweeping landscapes that he intentionally wants to create. Although he has been one of the industries best kept secrets, Suffo has managed to make appearances on renowned labels Nervous Records and Get Physical - and has recently blossomed into the limelight, coming off the back of two high-profile features on the recent Zakes Bantwini & Mörda albums.

The opening track titled ‘Rising Strong’ features former Sondela signee and current man of the moment - Thakzin. As one of the first few records the two have collaborated on, it illustrates the sheer grit and power that both artists posses. And it comes as a sonic odyssey that transports the listener to a realm where tradition and innovation dance in harmony.

’No Rules, No Fear’ is an energetic and convincing testament to the diverse and ever-evolving landscape of Suffo’s musical taste. The breakdown is a moment of introspection, allowing the listener to absorb the cultural depth embedded in the music before being propelled back into the irresistible groove.

Concluding the EP with poignant introspection, the closing track ‘Permanently Maybe’ transports listeners to a realm of deep nostalgia. As the final chapter unfolds, the producer unveils his final sonic landscape that resonates with the echoes of memories and emotions, creating a profound and pensive atmosphere.
